The architecture in Florence is just simply amazing!
Florence and its unique treasures are waiting for you! Starting from the Middle age Florence has been an important cultural, commercial, economic and financial centre. In the modern age it was the capital of the Granducato di Toscana with the 2 noble families: the Medici and the Lorena. It was also the capital of Italy from 1865 to 1871, after the unity of the country (1861).

Florence with its museums, its palaces, its churches houses one of the most important artistic treasures in the world. Among the most popular places of worship and art of the city there are certainly the Cathedral of  Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptistery, the Uffizi, the Bargello and the Galleria dell' Accademia. The churches of  Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce are real art galleries as well as the Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana which i san exceptional expression of the architectural genius of Michelangelo.

We suggest you to take some time to visit the various important collections preserved in Palazzo Pitti. And when you’ll feel tired of visiting museums and art galleries, you can stroll through the beautiful streets of the city centre until you reach the river Arno: just linger on the famous Ponte Vecchio and go to the Boboli gardens or maybe on the hill of Piazzale Michelangelo to enjoy an incredible view of Florence.
